Myanmar Appeal
ACC World Relief aims to rebuild 300 homes in Myanmar
“Myanmar is considered one of the poorest nations in South East Asia & the impact of Cyclone Nargis will have destroyed what little the Burmese people have … Rally together to help our neighbours as they attempt to rebuild their lives”.
- Ps. Alun Davies
ACC World Relief continues to provide relief assistance to communities in Myanmar where there is still great need in the wake of Cyclone Nargis May 2008, with an initial commitment to rebuilding 50 homes within the Irrawaddy Delta, and with your assistance, plan to rebuild many more.
ACC World Relief is aiming to rebuild a further 200 homes as part of this appeal, with each home costing $300. Donations to this appeal are Tax Deductible. Homes will be constructed with local materials and teams have the capacity to build up to 7 homes per day. Contact the WR office for ideas on how you can raise funds to rebuild a house with your youth group, church or club.
Estimates of the death toll from Cyclone Nargis are the highest in Asia since the 2004 Tsunami. Many thousands have affected by this natural disaster, with an estimated 24 million people populated the Irrawaddy Delta Region where the cyclone hit and the other areas declared disaster zones.

“Not since the Boxing Day Tsunami of 2004 has the Peninsula Asia region seen such tragedy. In one town alone over 10,000 people have been killed by this natural disaster. As followers the Lord Christ we cannot ignore the cries of our brothers and sisters in Myanmar. It is our calling to reach out and show them the love of our Father, so please donate today to help us provide much needed aid for the thousands of people affected by this disaster".
- Ps. Jack Hanes, President of ACC World Relief
